Summer And Music Series Comes To A Close With BuskerFest

You look outside and think that Summer is just getting started, but BuskerFest officially marks the end of the Summer And Music concert series in Long Beach. As a whole the SAM series got off to a little rocky start but then really offered some unique and amazing shows in some of the best outdoor spaces the LBC has to offer. BuskerFest will be no different if last years show is any indication, the East Village Arts District will be packed with tons of indie rocks and curious music fans alike. Local band Cold War Kids headlined the event last year to a huge crowd and gave us an amazing performance, this year locals Delta Spirit and Crystal Antlers headline the stages of Buskerfest while a host of other local “Buskers” take to the streets to collect your wooden nickles. Last year I had no idea where to get these damn wooden nickles so this year I might carve my own, although it seems this year the prize is a weeks recording at Compound Studios in Long Beach. Of all the shows, this is the one I am excited the most about because it showcases all LOCAL music, which is what we here at LBPP are all about!
